ACCOUNTING AND TAX APPLICATIONS PROGRAM

The accounting program trains the necessary intermediate manpower in the field of accounting for the efficient execution of services, production and activities in public and private sector enterprises. Those who graduate from the accounting program can work in the public and private sectors or open their own private accounting offices. Advancement in the accounting profession depends on proving talent and knowledge through successful work.

Aim of the Program:

The accounting program trains the necessary intermediate manpower in the field of accounting for the efficient execution of services, production and activities in public and private sector enterprises.

Main Courses Taught in the Program:

The accounting program aims to provide basic accounting knowledge and skills. In the final year, students try their knowledge and skills in the field of application by doing internships. Within two years, vocational courses such as general mathematics, general accounting, business, marketing, finance, commercial mathematics, law of obligations, cost accounting, bank accounting, commercial law, inventory, balance sheet, tax law, labor law, and corporate accounting are given.

Required Qualifications:

A person who wants to be an accountant must have general academic ability and numerical thinking skills. A person who chooses the accounting program is also expected to be interested in sociology and psychology, and to be patient, careful and organized.

The importance of knowledge is increasing day by day in today's competitive conditions. In the field of accounting and taxation, training individuals equipped with knowledge and skills is important in terms of providing the workforce needed by the relevant sectors. The accounting profession is seen as an important career goal and maintains its importance in the future. As economic events develop, the functions of these professions also develop, change and increase. In parallel with these developments, the services expected from these professions today can be listed as follows; Management accounting, auditing, independent external auditing, budgeting, risk management, management consultancy, tax consultancy (tax planning, taxation issues), transactions.

Those who graduate from the accounting program are given the title of “Accounting Professional”. Accounting professionals work as intermediate staff in accounting-related jobs.
